Felician University is a private Catholic university in Lodi and Rutherford, New Jersey, founded in 1923. Originally established to train teachers, the institution grew over the decades into a four-year college and eventually achieved university status to reflect an expanded range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Grounded in Franciscan values, Felician’s mission emphasizes academic excellence, respect for human dignity, service, and community engagement. Felician offers more than 50 undergraduate programs and over 20 graduate and doctoral degrees across fields such as nursing and health sciences, education, business, psychology, and the liberal arts, preparing students for professional careers and leadership roles. Its School of Nursing and Health Sciences is nationally accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and business programs hold specialized accreditation from the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE).
