IMmersive Program Course Track & Degree Facts

The IMPACT Program (IMmersive Program Course Track) is a revolutionary alternative to the accelerated course track at Sara Schenirer. It is designed for students who benefit from a more balanced academic pace, prefer taking more college courses and fewer Coopersmith exams, and want additional built-in academic support.

IMPACT reduces the number of courses per semester, spreads coursework over a longer duration, and eliminates a large number of Coopersmith exams, allowing students to achieve the same degree outcomes in a slightly longer time frame with less pressure.

Program Overview

What is IMPACT?

The IMPACT Program is designed to address the needs of students who require or prefer an alternative to an accelerated track. For some students, speed is not an advantage, while others prefer a program with more college courses and fewer standardized exams. IMPACT spreads coursework over a longer duration and significantly reduces the number of Coopersmith exams while maintaining identical degree outcomes.

Who is IMPACT For?

IMPACT is open to everyone and is especially beneficial for students who prefer a slower academic pace, have difficulty with standardized tests, manage busy family responsibilities, are returning to school later in life, have a lower GPA, or juggle multiple jobs.

Is IMPACT a Modified Program?

No. There are no modifications to coursework or degree requirements. The differences are in pacing, the balance of college courses versus Coopersmith exams, and levels of built-in student support. All academic requirements remain identical to the accelerated track.

Specialized Tracks

Students in IMPACT may participate in all specialized tracks during Year Two, including Social Work, ABA, SLP, OT, and Education. IMPACT primarily affects the first year structure, while the second year mirrors the accelerated track curriculum.

Financial Aid & Cost

Financial aid eligibility is not impacted by the additional semesters. Students who qualify for aid will receive coverage for the full duration of the IMPACT program. Program cost varies based on financial aid eligibility and transfer credits. Most students find IMPACT to be comparable or slightly less expensive than the accelerated track. Admissions counselors provide personalized cost estimates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I join the accelerated track later?

Eligibility depends on the reason IMPACT was recommended. Some students may switch tracks if pacing preferences change, while others may be required to remain in IMPACT due to academic standing. Admissions will advise individually.

Will I still take Coopersmith exams?

Yes. IMPACT significantly reduces the number of exams, and Fall starters receive a built-in semester to complete exams with guidance from a program coordinator.

Does IMPACT delay my graduation?

Yes. IMPACT extends the program timeline to 18 months instead of 11 months while maintaining identical academic outcomes.
